QUALIFIERS** Congratulations to all the
high school boys who competed at their IHSA Sectional Meet this
past weekend. The following Bullet swimmers qualified for
the IHSA State Meet at Evanston High School: Tyler
Capen (200 Medley Relay, 200 IM, 100 Back), Austin Cox
(200 Free, 200 FR Relay, 100 Back, 400 FR Relay), Matt Lifka
(100 Breast), Luke Martinez (200 Free, 500 Free, 200 FR
Relay, 400 FR Relay), Will Heidler (200 IM, 200 FR Relay,
100 Breast, 400 FR Relay), & Albert Roth (200 IM, 100
Fly). Good luck to all of you at the meet this weekend!!
2/13/08 - **AUCTION
UPDATE** The
2008 Speeding Ticket Auction
page has been updated with new prizes and new families that have
generously donated. We still need more support from our
families to keep this Auction a success. With only a few
weeks left, please contact Amy Drohan to donate. Remember,
only families that have donated will be allowed to attend the
auction. Thanks again for your support.
2/4/08 - **QUALIFIERS
UPDATED** A list of current qualifiers for
the Regional Championships (2/22-24), Senior
Championships (2/28-3/2), and Age Group
Championships (3/14-3/16) have been posted in the
details section of each meet on the
Meet Schedule page.
Coaches will be speaking to swimmers in the next few weeks to go
over the entries for these meets.
2/4/07 - **SCHROEDER
RESULTS** The Bullets had a great meet over
the weekend at the Schroeder A+ Meet. Out of the 77 teams
attending the meet, the Bullets finished first.
Congratulations to all those swimmers who attended.
Special congrats to the Women's 400 Medley Relay (O. Scott,
K. Wartalowicz, E. Carvell, K. Savegnago), who broke the
meet record. Results for the meet can be found on our

1/28/08 - **CONFERENCE
WEB SITE / INFO** We have a new web site
for the Chicagoland Swim Conference that we compete in each
season. A link to the site can be found to the right under
the Speedo logo. We have two conference meets that the
Bullets compete in each winter. Meet details on both meets
can be found on our
Meet Schedule page.
Our Gold Conference meet allows us to swim only 3 swimmers per
age group in each individual event. This is a very limited
entry and not all swimmers will be able to compete. Our
Silver Conference meet is a competition against the same teams
in which all swimmers not entered in the Gold Conference meet
compete in. Details on these championship meets as well as
others will be emailed out to our families shortly.
12/29/07 - **NATIONAL
JUNIOR TEAM** As some of you may know,
Olivia Scott is a member of the USA Swimming National Junior
Team. Olivia departed with the team on 12/28 to compete in
Australia over the next 12 days. She will be checking in
with us periodically, and we will post info on her trip on this
site. You can follow the meet she and other members of
Team USA are competing at by going to the
Swimming Victoria Home Page.

12/28/07 - **THANK YOU
FROM THE COACHES** All of the Bullets
coaches want to say thank you to the families that gave us gifts
this holiday season. We appreciate you thinking of us and
we wish all the Academy Bullets families a safe and happy
holiday break.

- **ACADEMY BULLETS HONORED WITH
AWARDS** The Academy Bullets who were
honored at the Illinois Swimming Banquet on October 7th for
their excellence over the past year. The team received the
"Don Drumm Award" for winning the 2007 LC Age Group
Championships. Olivia Scott was awarded the
"Female Breakthrough Athlete" award for her performances in
2007, most notably her Olympic Trials qualifying time in the 100
Fly and her selection to the USA Swimming National Junior Team.
Coach Todd Capen was awarded the "Illinois Swimming
Age Group Coach of the Year". Congratulations to all
the Bullets who were invited/recognized for their achievements
and these accomplishments are a direct result of all your hard
work.
8/2/07 -
**ILLINOIS AGE GROUP CHAMPS!!**
The Bullets were in a tight battle all weekend and ended up
winning the Illinois Age Group Team Championship in Quincy,
Illinois, our club's fourth team title. It was one
of the best meets we have had as a team, with nearly all our
swimmers posting huge drops in their events. Meet results
